I was born in Engeland. The first instrument I started learning
was the recorder, then piano as preparation for the cello at the
age of 7. At 11 I earned a scholarship to the Royal Academy of
Music in London as a “Junior Music Exhibitioner”, spending my
saturdays there being musically educated. Later studying cello
performance full time and qualifying for the “Professional
Cerfitcate”.
From the age of 14 played in the Youth orchestra and other local
orchestras and quartets travelling to Israel, USA, Singapore and
Spain and also performing at the Royal Albert Halland the
Queen Elizabeth Hall. In 1994 I moved to the Netherlands with
my husband and 2 kids (now 3).
I have played in various orchestras such as The Mulder Consort,
Hineni and the Promenade Orchestra and with the musicians
from the Ballet Orchestra and the Nederlandse Philharmonisch
Orkest. Kwartet, Trio, duo and solo (see Gallery). Taken part in
many recording sessions for CD and TV for example “Nederland
Zingt”. Also recording traks at home.
Mendelssohn trio
The Mendelssohn pianotrio was formed in 2022. Together with
violinist Magdalena Karas and Frank den Herder. See

Hartstocht
Hartstocht is a Theater performance. A musical journey. A
journey of the hart. A search for peace in a busy, restless world.
The live music, singing, words, images and dance tell a personal
story that touches, moves and makes aware.
I love to make my own music, improvize and use my looper.
Combining this with nature and various forms of art. This fits
perfectly with my hobby’s, animals, nature, camping, traveling
and DIY. I also have an electric cello and effect pedals and play
in a band mostly at my home church XRDS International.
